Ad Astra, Logica Abstracta continues its celestial journey, unfurling a second EP that speaks in ambient tones and cosmic reverie. Opening with the title track a gentle, shimmering composition that doubles as the gateway to both the EP and the earlier Headspace Station album the project reminds listeners of its distinct sonic signature: deep serenity laced with exploratory energy. There’s something both vast and intimate in the soundscape, as though we’re drifting through the cold quiet of space with a warm internal monologue humming beneath it all.

This release leans into a retro-futuristic sensibility, echoing the optimistic sci-fi of decades past. The kind of dreamy futurism that imagined space not as hostile and lonely, but as the next great human adventure. In Ad Astra, you hear not only stars but stories flickers of nostalgia painted with synth pads and tonal haze. Vadim, the mind behind the project, conjures that spirit with impressive subtlety, avoiding cliches and instead weaving a narrative of discovery and hope through textures alone. This is ambient music with an emotional payload.

What distinguishes Logica Abstracta from many ambient outfits is its ability to remain accessible without being simplistic. Vadim’s years of producing under various aliases and building complex soundscapes are evident, but Ad Astra never feels overworked. Its restraint is its strength each track moves with intention, and the EP as a whole maintains a delicate balance between movement and stasis. There are no jarring shifts, no overstated climaxes; just a sense of motion, like a satellite slowly rotating, ever observing.

As ambient music for both focus and feeling, Ad Astra excels. It doesn’t shout for attention it drifts into the room like vapor and slowly envelops the listener. Whether used as a meditative escape, a sonic background for deep thought, or a soundtrack for stargazing, it serves its purpose gracefully. Vadim has carved out a space where emotional depth and auditory comfort coexist, and this EP continues that vision with quiet brilliance. It’s not just music for space it’s music with space, and that makes all the difference.
